Professional clown, physical theatre artist, actress and lecturer Lauren Nicole Whitter graduated with a first class degree in drama from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Since graduating university, Lauren has performed her own work all over the country. Creating shows that look at issues such as mental health, culture and society.
Lauren has taught in youth groups, all around the UK and in Italy. She has performed in festivals, performed in many different venues and has also been commissioned to provide an artistic alternative for charities to raise awareness.
Lauren is also a published poet and provides physical theatre workshops throughout the East Midlands, for various community groups. She has received training by Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance and Music, Tmesis Theatre Company and Gecko Theatre Company. Lauren is also an associate creative of 1623 Theatre Company and Freelance Practitioner for the Nottingham Playhouse. Most recently Lauren became a board member for Forced Entertainment.
Lauren also received a scholarship from Leicester College to take on a research project. Her research looks at how physical theatre and movement techniques can help maintain healthy mental health practices.
