Kiren is a movement artist who works in performance, directing, teaching, and choreography. She is interested in exploring the intersectionality of identity and creating high standards of artistic quality whilst widening outreach and accessibility within the performing arts. Kiren has recently completed her MA in Movement Directing and Teaching from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Prior to this, Kiren trained at Trinity Laban in Contemporary and Community Dance and holds a BA in English Literature. Kiren teaches creative dance for children with The Place and has worked on placement teaching movement and dance in Trinity Laban, and movement for actors in The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Recently, Kiren has worked as Movement Director for ‘Raya’ (Hampstead Theatre, 2021) whilst on placement. This included bespoke character sessions, intimate moments, transitions, whole company work, and choreographed dance, including the final moment of the piece.
