Mental Health and Wellbeing is a huge part of our work at Anansi Theatre Company and we are so excited that we can do this work with and for our community,

We really hope we will see you there!

  •  Physical Theatre and Movement for Wellbeing
This would include, yoga, releasing tension and grounding exercises.

  • Story Telling and Physical Theatre Workshops
Based on the Anansi Spider Story these would be a series of physical theatre and story-telling workshops.  These workshops would include using music, movement, sound and text.

  • Creative Writing

  • Arts and Crafts

It is really important that women of colour and women of the global majority have access to safe spaces. Spaces to flourish, explore and express themselves without judgement. There are many brilliant articles and books which discuss this need in further detail.

We want to provide workshops and performances for everyone who wants to join us and we will also provide Women of Colour only workshops and performances.

2-day Intensive Workshops

Anansi Physical Theatre Intensive over 2 days

Anansi Theatre Company Physical Theatre Training led by Artistic Director Lauren Nicole Whitter.
An intensive 2-day workshop using physical theatre methods, techniques and other original exercises used by Anansi Theatre Company in their approach to theatre making. Alongside the physical practices of theatre making this workshop will also connect to the importance of mental health and wellbeing which is one of the main aims of the company. Theatre companies, community groups and youth theatres may be interested in this.

 Additional Information and Pricing
Prices depend on the size of the group and length of the workshop. Our prices are very competitive and we can cater to suit specific needs and budgets.

We use our own musical instruments, equipment and we also has a small range of musical instruments available for participants at an additional cost. Please note these instruments are for younger children and may not be suitable for an older group.
